The Cramps

Lux Interior, who took his name from an automobile ad, "... Like[s] to think the Cramps... Stop the practical thing from being practical anymore," and he and guitarist Kristy 'Poison Ivy Rorschach' [don't even ask] Wallace have made rockabilly-punk rock into a great sound that looks even better live. Equal parts camp, check out the outfits, and glamour, the band's shows are definitely worth the price of the ticket, and their music from early songs 'Gravest Hits' through 'Flamejob,' 'Big Beat from Badsville' and releases of early cd 'Off the Bone' have encouraged an already creative music industry to come up with a new genre: sci-fi psychorockabilly. There's no cramp in this band's style.
