The end of an era came with the death of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham in 1980, and that death hit Robert Plant hard. Persevering, Plant trudged on to a successful solo career as he took his signature wail to new levels. His solo efforts include an integrated mountain of work, including his '50s rock tribute, the Zeppelinesque Pictures at Eleven to The Honeydrippers, Vol. 1. In November of 2003, Atlantic Records issued Sixty Six to Timbuktu, a two-disc compilation dedicated to Plant's eccentric and solo work.
