The first three songs are solo acoustic but the rest has Grateful Dead members backing her. Mickey Hart was dating Baez at the time and The Dead did 1981 album sessions (of several of these same songs) for her, which is why she was invited to do this show.
The first 5 tracks are plagued by a "60 cycle hum". They finally fix that just before she begins singing "The Boxer." Other intermittent audio issues occur briefly, but it is primarily excellent audio from there on out, so all of the material with Dead members sounds fine.
