With ties to names like John McVie and Cass Elliot, there's no question that Dave Mason has a place in rock history. As a founding member of Traffic, Mason's vocals and guitar skills helped blast the band to stardom in the late 1960s. A well documented rift between Mason and bandmate Steve Winwood lead to Traffic's breakup in '69. After Traffic, Mason went on to pursue a myriad of gigs which included stints in other bands and reunion work with Traffic. Mason's 1970 debut solo album Alone Together is often regarded as his best work.
