Gruff of voice and warm of heart, Chuck Ragan delivers powerful folk 'n country in the vein of legendary troubadours like Steve Earle and Pete Seeger. First arriving on the scene in the '90s with Hot Water Music, Ragan eventually struck out on his own after several influential records, crafting a more intimate yet rocking acoustic sound. On tour in support of his self-produced album Gold Country, Chuck and his band stopped by the Vault for a session, and proved themselves to be perfectly suited to our recording environment, performing one of the richest sets yet.
