Buddy Miles

Bluesman Buddy Miles' stints range from drummer with Jimi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys to lead vocalist of the California Raisins. In 1967, Miles joined Mike Bloomfield (of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band) in Bloomfield's Electric Flag. After leaving Electric Flag in '68, Miles collaborated with Hendrix on several projects. The soulful "Them Changes" from '70 remains Miles' most popular hit, but he continued his to showcase his explosive drumming skills in the Chicago blues scene throughout the '90s, releasing Miles Away from Home in '98
