Trampled by Turtles / Lucero Vinyl 12"
  • Trampled by Turtles / Lucero Vinyl 12"
This is the fourth installation in the Daytrotter Vinyl Series features two somewhat diverse groups -- Trampled By Turtles and Lucero. Both bands are stalwarts in their respective genres and we know they're both capable of putting back their share of beer and whiskey.
Trampled By Turtles hand-picked the Lucero session as the one they wanted to be paired with and the Lucero boys liked the idea as well, making this the most interesting split in the series thus far. The Trampled By Turtles side of the vinyl will be the band's newest session, recorded at Echo Mountain in Asheville, N.C. -- one of Daytrotter's most listened to session's of 2012. The Lucero set is a barn-burner, recorded in the a.m. hours that the band usually finds unfavorable. Here though, the songs portray the hard-lived lives as they're supposed to -- gruff and rough.
