Located on South Hamilton in Torrance, CA, The Bank was a popular late sixties venue for many touring bands including the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, the Flamin' Groovies, Moby Grape and Canned Heat. The relationship between Canned Heat and Torrance extended oddly beyond attraction-venue: Bob 'the Bear' Hite was born in the city in 1943 and a troubled Alan Wilson died there under unexplained circumstances in 1970.
