Savoy Brown

This blues-rock band became a favorite with American audiences while never achieving widespread popularity at home in Britain. Although they never had a hit single, their albums sold respectably, thanks to dogged touring. The only constant in the band's membership was guitarist Kim Simmonds, who ruled the group with an iron hand and hired and fired members regularly. Simmonds continues to tour and record with Savoy Brown.
