The Fillmore West hosted some of the most memorable nights in rock concert history, even though it was only open for three years, from July 1968 - July 1971. When Bill Graham decided to close the venue down, he did so in typically epic fashion, by staging a 5-day series of concerts with some of the most popular San Francisco-based acts of the day (6/30/71 - 7/4/71).
This playlist presents the Wolfgang's recordings of those Fillmore West Closing Week festivities, including the pre-designated daily lineups as well as impromptu jam sessions. With almost an entire day's worth of music, this is a real beast; so you may want to listen in installments, browse to find something that interests you, or let it run on in the background while doing whatever else you do. Either way, enjoy!
