The veteran rock group New Rhythm and Blues Quartet (better known as NRBQ) has been playing to a cult following for thirty years. Formed in Florida in 1967, NRBQ included keyboardist Terry Adams, bassist/singer Joey Spampinato, guitarist Steve Ferguson, singer Frank Gadler and drummer Tom Stanley. Although their lineup changed over the years, NRBQ rode the nostalgia movement of the '70s, blending pop, blues, jazz and country traditions in an eccentric mix. The famed roots rockers later chalked one up for their resume as an artist featured on the Simpsons.
