Liner Notes

The idea that we shouldn't get too carried away is both a warning and an admonishment. It's just as lethal and disheartening to suggest to the dreamer or to the maniac. Sometimes there's little difference in those people, just a nuance that can't be discerned without squinting. They're one and then they're the other -- or that's us we're talking about. We've sure been reckless in our days, but there's something electrifying in abandoning all the sense that we were born with, to live, to love and to do all of the rest that feels and sounds so tantalizing.

We have been warned that nothing good ever happens after midnight, but that's all bullshit. All kinds of amazing stuff happens after midnight. There are just those magical nights when you owe it to yourself to stay up until the sun comes back around. You should just let yourself get lost in that greedy squeezing of energy and vitality. It's in getting that second wind, where you truly feel lit.

It's in these moments of original or repeated sin, of personal exploration, of realizing that there's much out there that's unexplainable, that's bigger than you that UK band Wolf Gang take us. Lead singer Max McElligott rages into those soft nights and comes out on the other sides with the scuff marks, the dirty shoes and the rumpled collars to prove that the good was had. It was taken. It was just another night of discovery, of fuck-ups and triumphs.
