The thing we have to be aware of is that there is no resistance to be had or that can be summoned when it comes to girls like Madi Diaz. You are helplessly over the moon in seconds and it always means bad news. No matter who you're married to or involved with, she is one of those women that you will look at and immediately sense new attraction, new love, even if it's not real or actionable. She will get you slugged in the shoulder for staring. You'll have to come up with something quick to deflect the conversation. Diaz doesn't mean to do it. She can't help herself, but because of these powers that she has, she only makes it worse when she starts singing and you hear the kind of magical gypsy sweetness of Stevie Nicks and Ronnie Spector wafting out of the speakers. You mumble to yourself, "Damn it all! I cannot keep my thoughts straight and there's no end in sight. I'm a mess." You see, the music that the Nashville beauty writes is as charming and fetching as she is, making every part of you want to be closer to it, to have the words tumbling into your ears, to have the choruses running their fingers gently through the hair on the side of your head. It's about as enchanting as it gets, sending you into a wonderful state of being here and being nowhere. She sings on "Kiss," "It's so late and you can drive me home/But let's wait to see where this is going/You want me/We know what that can mean/So what's it gonna be?/I can not pretend to settle down/And now wedding bells are what I think about/I want you/Got room for two so whatchu wanna do/And I'm not gonna make it/And I'm through tryin' to fake it/But you're makin' me wait and I don't wanna wait/Just give me a kiss/One little kiss/Aw baby, just like this," and you wish that you had already bought a ring, had it tucked into the bottom of your pocket, just so that you could produce it at that moment - a moment that sprung up on you suddenly. You're ready to show it, to get down on one knee - and very little of it would be due to the pretty face in front of you. It would have to do with the music and the way it got to you, the way it makes you believe in those impulsive feelings that strike without warning, that just get at your throat and your heart. Your eyes are full. Your head is full and you feel like you could stay awake for weeks, just waiting for the girl to call you back.
