This concert was given as part of a benefit for San Francisco's Mime Troupe and was the very first Bill Graham produced concert in San Francisco. These tracks are possibly the oldest live Jefferson Airplane recordings in existence.

Included on this recording are three tracks from a reasonably good line feed recording, supplied by Bill Graham during a guest appearance on KSAN radio circa 1968 or 1969. In addition to this very early incarnation of Jefferson Airplane, the benefit also features Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Allen Ginsberg and John Handy.

This show was performed just a few months after the Airplane had formed as a band, and captures the group performing early versions of "It's No Secret," "Tobacco Road" and "Runnin' Round This World."

Recorded, luckily, at such an early point in the group's career, this show finds both band and audience enjoying a new, exciting form of musical expression - little did anyone know what lay in store.
