Liner Notes

Some people see and hear in colors. Some people are more tactile and they must touch or feel something for it to exist for them. The imagery that young Brooklyn band Icewater brings into its music is a little of both, giving all sensors a workout. The band name alone signifies so much of the sentiment of its music, giving us a swig of light flourishes and refreshment in the form of understated melodies that climb all over the place. Everything goes down the slippery throat as it would go down the throat of a parched man. The band's debut album is full of the kinds of smooth listening jams that will never get a bad rap. They exist somewhere between a wall of weed smoke and some all male "Tusk." The song, "Good Face," in title and in content sounds like some classy, soft core porn and we're not complaining.
