They tour all the time and people like to dance around to them. They spin long improvisational jams and come from upstate New York. They call themselves moe. and yep, that's a lower case m and a period after the e. Fully embracing the jam band spirit, moe. was formed around 1990 in Buffalo, NY, playing at university parties and bars in the area. Today, moe. has become one of the biggest names in the jam band scene, playing alongside the likes of the Allman Brothers, Phish, and Leo Kottke, among others. Aside from headlining their own annual fall festival called moe.down and attracting a rather huge fan base, they have released a string of albums. It's in their live performance however, where moe. really finds their groove.
