San Francisco music spans every genre from psychedelic to metal, and the Bay Area music scene has welcomed a handful of world music aficionados too, including reggae roots rockers, the Caribbean Allstars. This ten-piece international ensemble joined forces during the early 1980s. With roots from Jamaica, Trinidad, Tobago, South America, West Africa and the U.S., the Allstars fuse cultural diversity into their international sound. Balancing horns, percussion, string lead guitar, reggae bass and sweet vocals in a world "beat treat," the Allstars have honed their skills and built a solid base throughout the U.S.
