Charles Hardin Holly, aka Buddy Holly was born September 7, 1936 in Lubbock, Texas. He was a singer-songwriter and pioneer of early Rock and Roll. Holly, with his signature glasses and bluegrass meets rockabilly style was among the first inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
