The Tokyo leg of the Amnesty tour was exhausting and not without dissention. Nevertheless, the crowds were familiar with the music, loved Springsteen and the concert was a success. Reebok, which began funding an annual grant for young [under-30] human rights activists in 1988, co-sponsored the concert through the Reebok Foundation.
