American jazz trumpeter, composter, bandleader, music educator and Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, Wynton Marsalis is a New Orleans native. His was the first jazz recording to win a Pulitzer Prize for Music. The Marsalis family, including Wynton's brother Branford, are considered the First Family of American jazz.
