On May 4, 1970 at Kent State University, Ohio police killed four students during a clash with Vietnam protestors opposing the war's bloodshed. The tragedy at Kent State inspired a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young (CSNY) song, "Ohio." Comic and sociopolitical satirist Dick Gregory used this powerful image of Kent State's tragedy in his 1971 album release, a vehicle for his anti- war observations.
