Liner Notes

One of the things that was stressed, when we were younger was that we should never wander out in the cornfields because we would get horrifically lost. Adults would cite stories of other children who did that and they never found them. They were just gone, forever.

BUT, if you were to find yourself out there amongst the itchy, towering stalks of corn, they all told us to just keep following the row down to its end and there you'd run smack into a fence line or a road and that would at least lead you to a place where you could be findable and not die. There's something about just saying, "Fuck it," and getting out there and lost in the cornfields or amongst a dense forest that shines through on Cedar Falls, Iowa, group Har-di-Har's music.

The husband and wife duo of Andrew and Julie Thoreen make you feel as if you're getting away from everything and still rushing right into another swarm of something that's going to be just as dicey. There are messes in the garden and there are possibly rabbits without heads that are going to be found on your doorstep. There are weird mysteries slipping here and there, hidden in the footsteps. They seem to like the melodies.
