The Paul Butterfield Blues Band Poster
At a time during the mid-to-late 60's when jazz was at a low point in terms of popularity, the Charles Lloyd Quartet managed to achieve significant crossover success. Bill Graham booked the group into his Fillmore Auditorium, Fillmore West and Fillmore East venues on numerous occasions, a sure sign that they had gained the approval of both Graham and the rock and roll fans that flocked to his venues.
The 1st printing of the poster pre-dates the concert and measures 14 3/16" x 21".
The 2nd printing, printed on 12/14/1968 in a run of 1,200, displays a small white circle 2 3/4" perpendicular to the letter "t" in "litho" along the right border. It measures 14" x 21".
